Hi, I’m Christina!

I’m a cat-mom, a game enthusiast, a math nerd, and of course, a graphic designer

My background

I found my way into design before college through many years of yearbook classes; beginning with designing layouts and capturing photos, and eventually also conducting interviews, writing stories and captions, and proofreading my own and others’ work. Since then, I have worked in many settings, including multiple restaurants, a donut shop, a tutoring center, a printing company, and now a hotel. Naturally, my experience spans widely, mainly in hospitality and graphic design, but also in tutoring, data analysis, and print production.

My graphic design experience has mostly been in print, as I spent three years working for a local printing company after college. There, I designed a wide range of commercial and personal projects, working directly with clients and production teams to ensure the final product meets and exceeds client expectations. In this time, I also gained experience operating printing and bindery equipment, presorting mailing lists and preparing EDDMs, creating dielines and working within preexisting dies, and writing magazine articles and marketing content.

Some more about me

I also have a background in science and mathematics that left me with a particularly analytical approach to design. Some details about me that have an impact on my design process include:

  • I care deeply about typography, hierarchy, spacing, and alignment in my design projects.

  • My workflow is constantly evolving as new features emerge and techniques are shared.

  • I have a borderline strange enthusiasm for Excel and love to use it to create design variations with Data Merge in InDesign.

  • I use AI sparsely to streamline processes, mainly through Generative Fill and Generative Expand in Photoshop. Though, I do my best to minimize my AI usage both for the sake of the integrity of my designs and my impact on the planet.

Current happenings

These days, I am working the night shift at a local hotel, doing freelance work, and am searching for my next full-time graphic design position. During this time, I have also been honing my skills with experimental projects and writing practice.

A big thank you from my boys and I for visiting the site!
